Tony Luevano

Antonio Rocha Luevano, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on October 12, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 64.  He was born on April 27, 1955 in Uvalde to Agapito Cervantes and Cleofas (Rocha) Luevano.

Antonio served in the United States Air Force, worked at the Attorney General’s Office as a child support investigator, was a retired lieutenant with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Torres Unit and a Sergeant for the Dimmit County Sheriff’s Department.

Antonio was the most loving and giving father a son could ever have.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Luevano of Uvalde; son, Antonio Rocha Luevano, Jr. of Uvalde; brothers, Rogelio Luevano, Sr. and wife, Irma of Uvalde, Alfredo Luevano and wife, Odilia of Boerne, Agapito Luevano, Jr. and wife, Olga of Uvalde, Hector Luevano, Sr.  and wife, Noemi of Uvalde; sister in laws, Janie Luevano of Uvalde, Cruz Luevano of La Pryor and Vicenta Ramirez of San Antonio; brother in law, Joe Torres of Big Spring and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Maria Delgado and husband, Alfonso Delgado, Sr., Elena Aguilar and husband, David Aguilar, Sr. and Rebecca Torres; brothers, Enrique Luevano and Alfonso Luevano, Sr.; nephews, Aaron Luevano and Matthew Luevano; and niece, Marina Luevano

Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Antonio Rocha Luevano, Jr., Roy Luevano, Jr., Hector Luevano, Jr., Hector Luevano, Sr., Agapito  Luevano, Jr., and Eddie Aguilar.

Honorary pallbearer will be Rogelio Luevano, Sr. and Alfredo Luevano.
