Uvalde

Thomas G. Hupp passed away April 21, 2023, at the age of 86 in Uvalde, Texas, with his loving wife Patricia, daughter Lisa, and faithful dog Tiger at his side.

He and Patricia were devoted to one another for more than 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by both of his daughters - Linda Simmons and Lisa Brewer (Mike), four grandchildren - Tabitha Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Kayla Jordan, and Zachary Brewer, seven great grandchildren, and a host of very dear friends and family.

Tom served in the United States Air Force. He continued serving his country until his retirement through his careers in law enforcement, including the United States Border Patrol and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge of Uvalde for over 50 years and a supporter of Austin Smiles. Together, Tom and Pat hosted a variety of skeet shoots at Goat Hill including charity shoots for 4-H and Austin Smiles. He was a voracious reader, had a very creative and curious mind, and was an avid lover of history and photography. Tom was passionate about skeet shooting and dove hunting which led to creative business ventures following his retirement from ATF. He started his own business building steel homes, hunting blinds, feeders, and shooting sports equipment and ranges.

A Celebration of Life honoring Tom will be held at a later date. His ashes will be interred at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Special thanks to Uvalde Memorial Hospice and Palliative Care for their incredible kindness and compassionate care in Tom's final weeks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Uvalde, Texas 4-H Shooting Sports, or your favorite charity.
