Teodoro De Leon, Jr., 40, of Knippa, formerly of Uvalde passed away at Uvalde Memorial Hospital on February 21, 2023.
Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at 3 p.m. and Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at 8 a.m. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
He was born on August 29, 1982 in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Andrea (Lara) and Teodoro De Leon, Sr.
He married Carolyn Trevino in Uvalde on March 15, 2014.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn of 11 years of Knippa; mother, Andrea Lara of Uvalde; three daughters, Destiny De Leon, Iyesha Trevino, and Jasleen Sandoval all of Knippa; son, Dylan Navejar De Leon of Knippa; four sisters, Denise Gonzalez and husband, Antonio of La Pryor, Michelle Lara of Uvalde, Angela Velasquez and husband, Ines of Uvalde, and Marisol De Leon of Uvalde; brother, John Lara, Sr. and wife, Elena of Uvalde; two grandchildren, Reyleen Mirelez and Teodoro Mirelez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Teodoro De Leon, Sr., paternal grandparents, Guadalupe and Rafaela De Leon; and maternal grandparents, Mauricio Alvarado and Manuela Samarron Alvarado
Pallbearers will be Antonio Gonzalez, Lucio “Chapo” Ortiz, III, Orlando Ortiz, Abrian Ortiz, Dylan De Leon, Rudy Ortiz, Jose Rodriguez, Ines Velasquez, Jase Lara, John Lara, Jr., John Lara, Sr., Jordan Lara, Damian Ojeda, and Chris Trevino.
Honorary pallbearers will be Destiny De Leon, Galo Jimenez, Iyesha Trevino and Jasleen Sandoval.
