Roy Rodriguez

Roy Perry Rodriguez of Uvalde passed away on June 7, 2020 at his residence at the age of 59.  He was born on August 13, 1960 in Uvalde to Rosalio and Irene (Perry) Rodriguez.  He married Elvira Cyprian in Uvalde on April 27, 1990.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years of Uvalde; daughters, Samantha Rodriguez-Hartshorn and husband, Russell and Sabrina Rodriguez – Hendrix and husband Christopher all of Uvalde; sisters, Esther Gomez of Uvalde, Dora Canales of Houston, Elva Hernandez of Uvalde, Gloria Barrera of Uvalde, Andrea Zapata of Austin, and Linda Chapa of Corpus Christi; brothers, Joe Rodriguez of Uvalde and Esteven (Stevie) Rodriguez of Uvalde; granddaughter, Rylee West Hartshorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Josie Rodriguez, and Julia Rodriguez; and brother, Rosalio Rodriguez, Jr.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Russell Hartshorn, Christopher Hendrix, Joey Velasquez and Joey Trevino, Jonathan Miles Cardenas and Jeorge Marcus Cardenas
