Ricardo Rodriguez

Ricardo D. Rodriguez of Uvalde died at his residence on Friday November 6, 2020 at the age of 62.  Ricardo was born in Uvalde, Texas on September 17, 1958 to Everardo and Rafaela (Delgado) Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife Rosa Cortez of Uvalde; daughters, Teresa Rodriguez and husband, Raymond Martinez, and Angie Hurtado all of Uvalde; son, James Rodriguez and wife, Tanya of Uvalde; sister, Rachael Rodriguez of Uvalde, brother Alfredo Almendarez of Carrizo Springs.

Ricardo’s grandchildren are Joanna Rodriguez, Edward Ramirez, Jr and companion, Monique Rodriguez., Benjamin Hurtado III, Jossette Hurtado and companion, Joshua Blanco, Roy Hurtado Kianna Rodriguez, Kendra Rodriguez, Terah Martinez and Adalynn Martinez. He is also survived by his poodle, Scout, special friends, Roy Sotelo, Oscar Cervantes, Joe D Martinez and Ramon Fuentes, Jr.; great grandchildren, Audrey Ramirez and Aubrey Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Roy Rodriguez, and Edward Ramirez, brothers, Edward Rodriguez, Willie Rodriguez, and Raul Rodriguez, daughter in law, Marisela Benavidez, and brother in law, Manuel Rodriguez.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Mendoza, Benjamin Hurtado, Jr, Ismael Ontiveros, Rolando Ramos, Orlando Briseño, Armando Briseño, Jr. and James Rodriguez.
