Rachel Aguilar

Rachel Z. Aguilar of Uvalde, Texas passed away on January 17, 2022 at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 65. She was born on September 25, 1956 in Uvalde, Texas to Jesus Zamora and Maria de Pilar Cruz.

She married Miguel Aguilar, Jr. on June of 1978, in Uvalde, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Miguel Aguilar of Uvalde, Texas; daughter, Jacqueline Aguilar and husband, Martin Perez of Uvalde, Texas; son, Miguel Aguilar, III of Uvalde, Texas; sisters, Elida Gonzales of Uvalde, Texas; Dora Zamora of Uvalde, Texas and Angie Baldovino and husband Sergio of Fresno, California; brother in laws, Leonardo Gardea of Uvalde and David Lucio of San Jose, California; 3 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Margarita Lucio, Mary Lou Gardea, Rosa Zamora; nephews, Johnny Joe Gonzales, Jesus Daniel Perez and Sergio D. Baldovino, Jr.

Visitation will begin on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hernandez, Mariano Pargas, Leonardo Gardea, Paul Angel Mendiola, J.J. Mendiola and Ramon Fuentes.
