Patricia Roann Daugherty Cartwright Stoner Crawford passed from this life into Heaven on September 10, 2020 . Roann was a colorful, fun-loving person who was loved by many. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was an active member of Concan Baptist Mission. She loved entertaining guest at her home, The Big Tree Ranch in Concan, where she lived for 33 years.

Roann was born in Houston on January 28,1942 to Dr. Mack Daugherty and Eugenia Stevenson Daugherty. She graduated from Lamar High School in Houston.

From a young age she shared her father’s love of horses. She was an admirer of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans and later became an avid collector of Roy and Dale memorabilia. She was an accomplished horsewoman winning countless awards in cutting horse competitions. She was best known in the horse world for her accomplishments with her National Champion Cutting Horse, Rhett Butler. She was a founding member of the National Paint Horse Association along with husband Jim Cartwright. They served many years together growing the Paint Horse organization. Roann was also a Lifetime Member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She lived in Missouri City on the family ranch, until the late 1980’s when she moved to Concan and married long time family friend Micheal Stoner. He had been instrumental in her mastery of horsemanship and she had always adored him. They could be seen blasting around the pasture in the EZ Go golf cart, fishing and enjoying the ranch. She faithfully loved and served him until his death. She then got another chance at love with Uvalde Attorney Bob Crawford. They enjoyed visiting grandchildren, teaching Sunday school together, entertaining MANY friends and they hosted the Concan Baptist Sunrise Easter Service at the Big Tree Ranch for several years. After his passing in 2008, Roann enjoyed her close friendships with her beloved “ widows club “ and even finished compiling a story of her Christian Faith Journey.
