Maria Salazar

Maria Alicia Salazar of La Pryor passed away on Saturday November 13, 2021 at her residence at the age of 81. She was born on October 14, 1940 to Benito and Soila(Cruz) Perez.

She married Fidel Salazar on November 17, 1962 in La Pryor, Texas.

Visitation for Maria will start on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in La Pryor, Texas. Interment will follow to La Pryor Cemetery.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Villareal, Elsa Quijano and spouse Joel, and Raquel Nevarez all of La Pryor; son Fidel Salazar and spouse Lydia of Kerrville; sisters, Eloisa Hernandez of Uvalde, and Gloria Garcia of Corpus Christi; brother, Alejandro Perez of La Pryor; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Benito Perez, Jr. and Camilo Perez.
