Lineta Brown

Lineta Hazelle Gilbert Brown of Uvalde passed away on October 25, 2019 at the age of 97 at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde. Lineta was born on October 17, 1922 in La Pryor, Texas to Wallace C. Gilbert and Esther Grace Hibdon.

Lineta is survived by her daughters, Patti Ham of Uvalde, Texas, Lynette Chasteen of Austin, Texas; sons, Mervyn Hartwick of Kingwood, Texas, Randy Hartwick of Buffalo, New York; 2 grandchildren, Monica Fernandez and husband, Rico, Erica Davis and husband, Shawn; and 4 great grandchildren, Maya Fernandez, Peyton Davis, Avryl Davis and Elyse Davis.

Lineta is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Lester R. Hartwick and Aubrey Ray Brown; and brothers, Nelan Gilbert and Lenis Gilbert.

A chapel service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary following interment at Hillcrest cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Carper, Shane Hunter, Mervyn Hartwick, Larry Chasteen, Shawn Davis, and Joe Baker.

Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Eaker, Peyton Davis, Randy Hartwick, James Ham , Charles Connel and Lonnie Horton.
