Juan Lopez

Juan Manuel Lopez of Uvalde passed away on April 21, 2023, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 97.

He was born on November 8, 1925, in Dilley, Texas to Marcelina (Rodriguez) and Gregorio Lopez.

He is survived by three daughters, Janie Martinez and husband, Jose of Uvalde, Josefina Villalba of Lockhart and Jesusa Castro of Niederwald;  grandchildren Evelyn Diane Lopez, Crystal J Sanchez, Angel Marie Castro, Ana Alisha Mata, April Renee Martinez, Marissa Jasmine Martinez, Mary Jane Arellano,  Patricia Martinez, Laura Juarez, Antonio Villalba, Jennifer Nava, Christina Wilson, Naomi L. Jimenez ,Hope Martinez, Manuel Lopez, Juan M. Lopez ,Xavier L. Lopez, Sara J. Lopez ,Linda Ryan and Angela Montoya; 49 great Granchildren,15 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maria Lopez, daughter Alicia Lopez, two grandsons Jose Manuel Ortiz, John Abel Coronado, two great grandchildren, Aaliyah Jackson, Simon Ulices Montoya, two great-great grandchildren, Ember Gallegos and Calliope Lynn Lopez.

A visitation for Mr. Lopez will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
