John Paul Pennington went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 19, 2021. He was born on September 21, 1965, in Uvalde, Texas to Eugene and Esta Pennington of Sabinal, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Eugene “Wel-we” Pennington. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Davis Pennington, daughter and son-in-law Marci and Mark Hernandez, 2 grandsons that he cherished- Carson and Jaxson, sister Lea-Vi Bridges and spouse Brad Bridges, along with his aunts, uncles, cousins, several nieces and nephews, 3 step-children, Gabriel Mirelez, Michelle Flowers, Krystene Barboza and their spouses, along with 10 step-grandchildren, and numerous extended family who loved him. Paul lit up when he talked about his football days at Sabinal High school, where he excelled on the field; and when he talked about his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers - (not Dallas Cowboys, Marci). He worked in the oil field and construction for most of his life and was dedicated and protective of his family. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and people whose lives he touched along his life journey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Sabinal Cemetery.
In honor of Paul, the family has requested for you to consider wearing Green Bay Packers attire to the service.
