Jewiel H. (Slim) Teague was born March 5, 1930 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on February 26, 2021 in Uvalde, Texas.

He graduated from Edison High School in San Antonio and proudly served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea during the Korean War where he earned the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal – 3 Stars, the China Service Medal, and the Navy Occupations Service Medal.  He graduated from The University of Texas in Austin and was employed in the commercial construction business for over 60 years.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Teague, of Uvalde, children Susan Garvie of Michigan, Mary Teague of New Braunfels, Beth Reavis (Jim), and Roy Henderson (Niki) of Uvalde; 12 grandchildren including Zac Reavis, Lexie Reavis, Morgan Henderson, Mitchell Henderson, Christy Shillings, Kent Schillings, Dustin Doherty, Jessica Darnell, Tom Garvie, Joe Garvie, Josh Garvie, and Nick Garvie and 21 great-grandchildren. Also, sister Patricia Ambrose and sisters-in-law Frieda Bain (Curtiss), Blanche Teague, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at Hillcrest Cemetery at 2:00PM
