Gwendolyn Royall

October 8, 1929 — January 2, 2021

Gwendolyn Louise Kelly Royall, faithful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother left this earthly body on January 2, 2021 to be present with the Lord Jesus Christ.  She left behind a legacy of love and faith.  She led her children to faith and leaves that legacy with them and their children.

Mrs. Royall was born to Howard and Juanita (Patterson) Kelly on October 8, 1929 in Donna, Texas.  She was married to Jesse (Jake) Thomas Royall, Jr. August 21, 1949 Weslaco, Texas.

She grew up in South Texas and lived in Weslaco, Los Fresnos, Bracketville, Palacios, Uvalde and Luling.  Upon their retirement she and Jake traveled in their camper providing service throughout the United States to church campgrounds.  Moving to Luling, they built PET mobile devices used around the world used by people who lost limbs.

She is survived by her children and their spouses:  Frances Royall White (John), Jesse Thomas Royall, III (Kathy), Paul Denton Royall (Linda) and Richard Lynn Royall. Her grandchildren are John Charles White (Jennifer), David White (Heather), Mary Weible (Ben), Jesse Royall IV (Sabrina), Sheri Nerren (Shannon), Dean Micknal (Amanda), Jeanne Naylor (Matt), Charles Royall (Amber), Kelly Royall (Samantha), Matthew Royall, and Kaitlyn Royall (Matt), 22 great grandchildren, her brother Kenneth Kelly (Billie), sisters in law Janet Kelly and Joan Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, brothers Howard Kelly, James Kelly, sister in law Anita Arnold and by grandson James White.

Services will be on January 22 at 10 AM at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.  Attendance is limited. Please let us know if you would like to attend. No flowers are permitted.  If you wish to honor Gwen Royall, please make a donation in her name to First Christian Church, Luling, Disciple Oaks Camp in Gonzales, Texas,or a charity of your choice.

After the service, family and friends are invited to McNeil Baptist church for a luncheon.

The family would like to express our gratefulness to all who have responded to us on the loss of our mother.
