Cauy Russell Routh of Uvalde, Texas passed away on January 9, 2022 in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 21.  Cauy was born October 13, 2000 in Uvalde, Texas to Roy L Jr and Katherine (Stotts) Routh.

Cauy graduated from Uvalde High School in 2019.  During Cauy’s school years he was active in 4-H and FFA.  His junior year, Cauy showed the Grand Champion Angora of the Uvalde Junior Livestock Show, which he was so proud of.  Cauy played football 7th grade through high school.  Cauy also excelled in Pole Vaulting winning many medals during his school career.

Cauy attended the Lineman course at Southwest Texas Jr College in the fall of 2019.  Cauy was employed with NorthStar Energy Solutions upon graduating from the Lineman training.

Cauy loved life, his family, co-workers and friends with passion.  Cauy enjoyed hunting, fishing and helping his Pawpaw with the cows.  Cauy was always smiling and happy.  Joking was a past time that Cauy enjoyed.

Cauy is survived by his parents of Uvalde, Texas; brothers, Cole Routh and Cody Routh Uvalde, Texas; maternal grandparents, Daymon R and Liz Stotts of Barksdale, Texas; paternal grandparents Roy and Cissy Routh of Uvalde, Texas; maternal great grandmother Dorothy Stotts of Uvalde, Texas.

Cauy is also survived by his aunt Ginger Baker (Lynn) of Barksdale, Texas, uncles Bill Stotts (Samantha) of Andrews, Texas; Rusty Routh (Elsie) of Uvalde, Texas and Dusty Routh (Sarah) of Uvalde, Texas; cousins Chase Baker and Addison Baker of Barksdale, Texas; Aeson Stotts and Aizlee Stotts of Andrews, Texas; and Connor Routh Uvalde, Texas and great uncle, Doyle Brown of Uvalde, Texas

Pallbearers will be Jordan Lopp, Jeffery Hopper, Riley Dalrymple, Kyle Sieckenius, George Herndon, and Cameron Schomber.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Cauy’s co-workers at NorthStar Energy Solutions; Hector Ruiz, Robert Ortiz, Chevy Collins, Brian Deleon, Luis Ale, Erik Rios, Javier Deleon, Clayton McRorey, Juan Barrera, Erin Patino, Frank Ramirez, Tommy Terry, Alton Taylor and Ray Guzman.

Visitation will begin Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Rushing- Estes- Knowles Mortuary.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Barksdale Cemetery in Barksdale, Texas.
