Mr. Carlos Lopez Ramos of Uvalde, passed peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 7, 2021 at the age of 91; in the company of his family.
Carlos was born on May 17, 1930 in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico to Juan Pablo and Petra (Lopez) Ramos.
He married Rufina Marin on July 30, 1953 in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico.
Carlos is survived by his wife of 68 years of marriage, Rufina Ramos of Uvalde, two daughters, Amelia Guadalupe Ramos and Petra Patricia R. Ybarra and husband Art all of Uvalde; two sons, Carlos Arturo Ramos and wife Rita and Robert M. Ramos; sister, Guadalupe Reyes of Palo Alto, California; nine grandchildren, Clarissa M. Ramos of Uvalde, Patricia M. Ramos-Miranda and husband Joseph of San Antonio, Vanessa R. Briones and husband Presiliano of Uvalde, Priscilla Romo-Perez and husband Carlos of San Antonio, Rovey M. Ramos, Carlos R. Ramos, Robert M. Ramos Jr. of Uvalde, Nina K. Ybarra and Patrick A. Ybarra of Uvalde; 11 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carlos is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Maria Ester Ramos, Elvia R. Nieves and Petra Aldape, Guadalupe Reyes; five brothers, Juan Ramos, Roberto Ramos, Oscar Ramos, Ricardo De La Garza and Reymundo Ramos.
Visitation for Carlos will start on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary and vigil will be held on Sunday, September 12, at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Graveside service will be held on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery. The funeral procession to the graveside will leave Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021.
Pallbearers will be Patrick A Ybarra, Carlos R. Ramos, Robert M. Ramos Jr., Leandro M. Esparza, Robert Rey Ramos, Carlos Sebastian Perez, Carlos Andres Ramos, Stephan J. Miranda, Nathan P. Miranda and Miguel E. Aguero.
