Adan P. Alaniz of Hondo, formerly of Sabinal passed away on January 27, 2020 in Uvalde at the age of 52. He was born on May 27, 1967 in Laredo, Texas to Antonio and Maria Isabel (Perez) Alaniz.
He married Maria H. Perez (Lally) in Uvalde on June 1, 1987.
He is survived by his father of Sabinal; wife of 32 years of Uvalde; daughter, Alexandra Christine Alaniz and boyfriend Eric Torres of Sabinal; sons, Adan Alaniz, Jr and wife Danielle of Sabinal, Andrew Alaniz and fiancé Orion Pompa of San Antonio, Christopher Perez and wife RoxAnne of Vail, Arizona and Nathaniel Castillo of Hondo; sisters, Marisol Alaniz of San Antonio, Alma Albarado of Leakey and Norma Alaniz of Corpus Christi; brothers, Antonio B. Alaniz, Adrian Alaniz both of Dunlay , Christian Alaniz of Cotulla, Antonio (Tony) Alaniz of Schertz, Felipe Alaniz of Dunlay, Ricardo Alaniz of Cibolo; grandchildren, Adan “Tres” Alaniz III and Avett Ace Alaniz of Sabinal, Mina Belle Alaniz and Gage Leo Alaniz of San Antonio, and Zyon Perez of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 5 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sabinal Cemetery.
