Ada Bell Pichot Carrasco, 98, of Uvalde Passed away on September 12, at her residence. Ada was born August 27, 1924 in Hondo, Texas to Adolph and Minnie Pichot.

Ada was one of three girls and three boys. She graduated from Hondo High school in 1942 and went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company where she worked for 32 years before retiring. She enjoyed the work and friends she made very much.

Ada met Frank while he was stationed at the Hondo Air Force Base They were married in Hondo on January 30, 1943. They were married 72 years when Frank passed away.

After retiring, she and Frank volunteered at the Uvalde Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years and the Hospice Thrift shop. They were very active in American Legion Post 26.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, sisters Eva Mae Brown and Adel Burger, Brothers CJ Pichot, George Pichot and Homer Pichot, one granddaughter Misty Raines, and son-in-law Burke Clement.

She is survived by daughter Joyce Raines and husband Jimmie of Uvalde, daughter Ada Clement of Mont Belview, daughter Raydean Moore and husband Terry of Wimberly.  Her grandchildren include Lisa Massey (husband Marty), Marcy Cowan (husband Kris), Zach Clement (wife Jenny), Bradley Moore  (wife Amy), Josh Moore (wife Jessica), Katie Boehme (husband Mark) and Logan Moore. Great-grandchildren Jessica Massey, Jake Massey (wife Shelby), Chandler Cowan, Parker Cowan, Charlie Clement, Cash Clement, Caroline Moore, Margot Moore, Jameson Moore, Evan Moore, Finley Boehme and Wesley Boehme. Great-great grandchildren Kellyn Massey and Knox Massey.

Ada enjoyed sewing, crocheting, visiting family and friends, and playing cards.

Funeral services will be held on September 18, 2022 at 2 pm at Rushing Estes Knowles Chapel in Uvalde and internment following at Oakwood Cemetery in Hondo, Texas.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at 214 Martin for their devoted care and friendship.

A very special thanks to Isela Molina, long time caregiver, whose devotion, friendship and dedication to Ada brought comfort and peace of mind.
