William Herndon

William Don Herndon of Sabinal passed away on December 7, 2021 at Methodist Hospital at the age of 77.  He was born on December 20, 1943 in San Antonio, Texas to J.B. and Lorain (Mayes) Herndon.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Lee Colvin Herndon of 54 years of Sabinal; daughter, Donna Herndon Klein and husband, Steven of Hondo, Texas; son, Charles Royce Herndon of Utopia, Texas; sister, Mary Hal Herndon of Uvalde, Texas; brother, Jack Herndon of East Bernard, Texas; and grandson, Cade Tanksley of Menard, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Billy Spurgers Jr., Robert Spurgers, Russ Herndon, Clegg Herndon, Wade Herndon, Bryan Herndon, Cade Tanksley, Steven Klein and Chris Christians

Honorary pallbearers will be the entire Herndon Family, George Goodson, Mitch Everett, Kenneth McCauley, Johnny McMillan, Mike Cotugno, Mitchelle Hutto, Paul Tanksley, Lynn Scott and Lane Scott

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Bryan Herndon.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Montell Cemetery.
