Vicenta Santos

Vicenta R. Santos, 88, of Uvalde passed away on March 6, 2024, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. 

She was born on June 11, 1935, in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico to Concepcion (Torres) and Francisco Rodriguez. 

She married Antonio F. Santos on June 26, 1955, in Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico. 

She is survived by her three daughters, Maria de Lourdes De Hoyos and husband, Juan Carlos of Del Rio, Texas, Sylvia Lopez and husband, Arturo of Seguin, Texas and Connie Ramirez and husband, Sam of Florence, Texas; three sons, Juan Antonio Santos of Uvalde, Texas, Jesus R. Santos and wife, Elisa of Knippa, Texas and Francisco Santos and wife, Michelle of Round Rock, Texas; sister, Rosa Rodriguez of Musquiz, Coahuila, Mexico; brother, Celso Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; five sisters; and daughter, Maria De Rosario Santos.  

Pallbearers will be Daniel De Hoyos, Carolos De Hoyos, David De Hoyos, Andres Lopez, Manuel Ramirez, Alejandro Ramirez, Jojo Ramirez, Zachary Santos, Sawyer Santos, Troy Santos, Matthew Santos, Ryan Santos, and Cameron Lee Santos.  

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
