Stella Romero

Stella Romero of Uvalde passed away on January 13, 2022 at Amistad Nursing Home in Uvalde, Texas at the age of 60. She was born on October 10, 1961, in Uvalde, Texas to Indalecio R. and Elsa (Ramos) Quiroga.

She is survived by her sons, Marcelino Daniel Romero of San Antonio and Gerardo “Gerry” Romero and wife, Vanessa of Dumfries, Virginia; sister, Elizabeth Q. Rangel and husband, Manuel of Uvalde; and brother, Andy R. Quiroga and wife, Darlene Moreno of Uvalde, Texas; grandchildren, Valentino Kortez Romero, Kara Danielle Romero, Kayden Carasco and her newest grandchild arriving in June of 2022. and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother.

Visitation will begin on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Marcelino Daniel Romero, Gerry Romero, Andy Quiroga, Manuel Rangel, Manny Rangel, Jimmy “Sonny” Olivarez and Roy Perez.
