Sarah Melissa Perez

Sarah Melissa Perez, 43, of Uvalde passed away on May 10, 2024, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio.

She was born on November 21, 1980, in Uvalde, Texas to Erma (Garcia) and Enrique Perez.  

She is survived by her companion Tommy Mariscal of Uvalde; two daughters, Katarina Estella Vasquez and companion, Brandon Salazar of San Antonio, and Karolina Erma Vasquez of Uvalde; son, Jose Luis Vasquez of Uvalde; sisters, Blanca Estella Perez and husband, Inez Perez of Uvalde, Monica Garcia and husband, Mark of San Antonio, and Precious Perez and companion, Daniel Arredondo of Uvalde; brother, Ricky Garcia of Uvalde; grandchildren, Santiago Luis Moreno and Christian Andersen Salazar; and numerous nieces and nephews.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, Gilberto and Dolores Garcia.  

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 1 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.  

Pallbearers will be Katarina Vasquez, Jose Luis Vasquez, Karolina Vasquez, Blanca Perez, Monica Garcia and Precious Perez.
