Salvador Carmona Solis of Uvalde passed away on July 23, 2019 in Uvalde at the age of 72. He was born on January 3, 1947 to Abraham and Canuta (Carmona) Solis in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
He is survived by his companion, Manuela de Jesus Garza of Uvalde; mother of Uvalde; daughters, Rosa Gonzalez of Uvalde, Sonia Geffre, Maricruz Solis both of San Antonio, Juanita Rodriguez of Uvalde, Eloisa Gonzalez of San Antonio, Lorena Garza of Uvalde and Norma Escamilla of San Antonio; sons, Jose Solis of Alpine, Heriberto Solis, Raul Garza and Alfonso Garza all of San Antonio; sisters, Rosa Chavez of Uvalde, Isabel Solis of Eagle Pass and Martina Solis of Piedras Negras; brother, Ignacio Solis of Eagle Pass; 33 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Liliana Solis Munoz.
Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jose Solis, Heriberto Solis, Raul Garza, Alfonso Garza, Oscar Gonzalez and David Garza.
