Ruth Laverne Simons

Ruth Laverne Simons, 95, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on September 22, 2026, at the Veranda Senior Living in Uvalde.

She was born on August 27, 1931, in Temple, Texas to Velma (Sophronie) and Edgar Russell Webb.

She married James W. Simons on May 13, 1949, in New Gulf, Texas.

She is survived by her three grandchildren, Sheila Simons, James Robert Simons and wife, Peggy, and Sean Michael Simons and wife, Elia; six great grandchildren, Madison Simons, Shelby Simons, James Simons, Braydon Livanec, Zoe Simons, and Lucas Simons.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, two sons, James W. Simons, III, and Gerry Alan Simons; sister, Doris Brink; and brother, E. R. Webb.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Concan Baptist Mission Church. Interment will follow at Heard Cemetery.
