Ruby Ellen Moorhead

Ruby Ellen Moorhead, 66, of Uvalde passed away on May 4, 2024, Methodist Texan Hospital in San Antonio.  

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A funeral service will be held in Iowa at a later date.  

She was born on June 23, 1957, in Des Moines, Iowa to Geraldine  (Vanhorn) and Raymond Wagner. 

She married James Moorhead on June 11, 1977, in Des Moines, Iowa.  

She is survived by her husband of 46 years of Uvalde; two daughters, Christene Thompson and husband, Richard of Jefferson, Iowa and Geri Daggett of Uvalde; two sons, Scott Daggett and wife, Lori of Centerville, Iowa and Jesse James Moorhead of Uvalde; three sisters, Lenora Leivas of Audubon, Iowa, Laura Daggett of Guthrie Center, Iowa, and Ginger Kniesley of Des Moines, Iowa; three brothers, Steven Boals and wife Cindy of Creston, Iowa, Rick Wagner of Anamosa, Iowa, and Richard Boals and wife, Rita of Guthrie Center, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.   

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Raymond Wagner.
