Roger Brown, of Uvalde, passed away on August 21, 2026 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital at the age of 80. He was born on August 14, 1946 in Clovis, California, to John W. Brown and Lorraine Sawyer.

He married Linda Brown on October 1, 1969 in Clovis, California.

Roger proudly served in the United States Coast Guard until his retirement in 1988. Following his military career, he continued his life of service by working in healthcare as a nurse.

Roger is survived by his wife, Linda. Brown; his daughter, Shonda Brice; his son, Roger Brown, Jr and his wife, Tamany; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and his sister, Julie Brown.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents, John W. Brown and Lorraine Sawyer; and his brothers, John Brown and Frank Brown.

Roger will be cremated, and the family will honor his memory privately at a later date.
