Rogelio O. Cano of Uvalde passed away on May 1, 2009 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. He was born on August 11, 1926 in Uvalde to Miguel and Petra Ortega Cano. He is survived by his life partner; Evangelina Overstreet of Uvalde, Texas; a son, Pedro Cano of San Antonio; sister, Trinidad Cano Belman of Uvalde; three grandchildren, Angela Gonzales, Gabriel Cano, and Anna Cano; two great-grandchildren, Javier R. Gonzales and Myra Gonzales; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Luis and Raul Cano, a daughter, Mary Helen Menchaca, and a son, Roy Cano. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial following in Uvalde Catholic Cemetery.
