Rodolfo G. Tristan

Rodolfo G. Tristan, Jr., 80, of Sabinal, Texas passed away on October 3, 2026, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 20, 1946, in Sabinal, Texas to Virginia (Gomez) and Rodolfo R. Tristan.

He is survived by four daughters, Lisa Marie Tristan and husband, Ruben Rodriguez, Raquel T. Esquivel and husband, Selestino all of Sabinal, Anastasia T. Moreno and husband, Gabriel of Castroville, and Viviana Tristan and husband, Jermaine Amaya of Sabinal; son, Jose R. Tristan and fiancée, Rolanda Williams of Sabinal; sister, Eva T. Torres and husband, Jesus of Edinburg; brother, Guadalupe G. Tristan and wife, Estella of Sabinal; daughter in law, Anita G. Tristan of Sabinal; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Viviana Tristan; his second wife, Nohemi Tristan; and son, Rodolfo T. Tristan, III.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thurs., Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Fri. Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sabinal. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery.
