Richard Garcia

Richard H. Garcia of Uvalde, Texas passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant in San Antonio at the age of 71.

Richard was born on March 11, 1950 in Uvalde to Ernest and Eufemia (Hill) Garcia.

He is survived by his sister, Emma Ortiz of California; three granddaughters, Estella Garcia, Marissa Garcia and Amanda Garcia all of Cleburne, Texas;  numerous nieces, nephews aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sons, Richard Garcia Jr., Raymond Garcia Sr., brother Ernesto Garcia and sister Dolores Ruiz.

Visitation for Richard will start on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.  A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.  A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Miguel Morales, Will Cassin, Dave Lugo, Wade Howard, Ollie Lugo, and George Lugo. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Hernandez, Travis Cooper and Cricket Lee.
