Ricardo Samarripa

Ricardo Rick Samarripa, born on September 3, 1961 went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2007 at the age of 45.

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Ismael Samarripa and his grandparents.

He is survived by his loving son, Paul Mata Samarripa wife, Kim of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; mother, Dora Rodriguez step-father Aroldo Rodriguez of Uvalde; sister, Ydette Adair husband Stewart of Helotes; nephew, Brett Adair of Helotes; girlfriend, Stella Long of San Antonio; and other loving family members and friends.

Rick was a very loving, understanding and compassionate person. He always cheered for the under dog unless it involved his beloved team, The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was an avid sports fan who loved to go boating and dancing. He worked for the Coca Cola Bottling Distribution and served proudly in the Navy from 1982 until 1990.

We would like to thank all his family, friends, and co-workers for their many prayers and support that they have given through this difficult time. He will be deeply missed for his friendship and his beautiful laugh.

A rosary will be held on Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel in Uvalde.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2007 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
