Reynaldo Cardona Chapa, Jr. of Uvalde passed away on November 6, 2022 at his residence at the age of 82. He was born on March 28, 1940 in Uvalde to Paula Maria (Cardona) and Reynaldo Chapa, Sr.
He married Silvia Vergil in Uvalde on July 14, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 8 years of Uvalde; 3 daughters, Diana Chapa, Roxanne Hernandez and Leticia Tobar all of Uvalde; 2 sons, Reynaldo Chapa III of Rocksprings and Sammy Chapa of Uvalde; 18 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucy R.Chapa; and daughter, Sandy Chapa.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
