Regina Ann "Regi" Aviles

June 12, 1990 — September 14, 2025

Uvalde

Regina Ann Santos-Aviles, 35, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on Sept. 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Regina lit up every room she entered. She carried herself with grace and confidence that inspired those around her. Her smile was contagious, and her laugh made you feel like you were part of an inside joke, a gift she shared generously with family, friends, and even strangers fortunate enough to cross her path.

At her core, Regina was a woman of heart and service. She cared deeply for her community and was always willing to step in and help. Whether through her work or through the simple kindness she showed each day, Regina had a way of making others feel seen, valued, and supported.

Her greatest pride and joy was her son, Axel. Every decision she made and every dream she pursued was rooted in her love for him. She was a devoted mother, a loving daughter, sister, and wife, and a loyal friend whose presence will be deeply missed.

Regina is survived by her cherished son, Axel; her husband, Adrian; her mother, Nora Gonzales; her stepfather, Jaime Gonzales; her brother, Johnnie Santos; and her beloved nieces, Isis and Amaya. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother-in-law, Delia Aviles; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andrew and Becca Aviles; and their children, Ashlynn, Alexander, Azriel, Alyson, and Amaris.

She was preceded in death by her father, Johnnie Santos Jr.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept. 24, from noon to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Services to honor Regina’s life will be on Thursday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. at Uvalde Methodist Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Her elegance, her laughter, her impeccable style, and her unwavering love for others will remain with us always.

Pallbearers Adriene Rueda-Santos, Isis Santos, Amaya Santos, April Treviño, Clair Treviño, Jackie Bonilla, Andrew Ayala, Diana Navarro.
