Raul Diaz Garza

Raul Diaz Garza, 65, of Uvalde, passed away on August 2, 2026, at Metro Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

He was born on December 12, 1960, in Uvalde, Texas to Margarita (Diaz) and Ramon Garza.

He married Diana T. Saldaña on June 7, 2009, in Uvalde, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Diana T. Saldaña of Uvalde; daughter, Emily Garza of Uvalde; three sons, Erik Garza, Jonathon Garza, both of Uvalde, and Isaac Garza of San Antonio; three sisters, Belia Garcia of Colorado, Jesusita Garza of Nebraska and Olga Garza of California; three brothers, Domingo Garza of San Antonio, Rogelio Garza of California, and Ramon Garza of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Juan Garza.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
