Rafael Silva Jr.

Rafael “Ralph” Silva Jr., born August 3, 1945, in Uvalde, TX went into the loving arms of the Lord on August 7, 2019, at the blessed age of 74.  The youngest of four siblings, he is survived by his sisters Celia Regalado of San Antonio and Carmela Gonzales of Uvalde, and his brother Sixto Silva of Uvalde, as well as his ex-wife Lydia Silva of Uvalde and their beloved children David Silva and wife Mary of Hawaii, Lisa Kienlen and husband Steve of Cedar Park, and Melinda Silva and wife Kristine of Austin, his grandchildren Brandon and Brian Silva both of Hawaii, Andrew, Olivia, and Gabi Kienlen all of Cedar Park, and Estella and Cash Silva of Austin, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and nephews, and friends.

Ralph worked for Southwestern Bell Telecom for over 36 years and was a devoted father, friend, brother, and uncle, as well as the go-to Westcloud neighborhood dad. He loved ranch life, hunting, fishing and all things outdoors and was very proud of his plants, trees and farm animals.

He will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Visitation will begin Sunday, August 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 4:30 PM at Rushing- Estes- Knowles Mortuary at 220 S. Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801.   A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:30 AM, Monday, August 12, 2019.
