Purificacion Teresa Guerrero

Purificacion Teresa Guerrero, 91, of Uvalde, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2026, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.

She was born on January 30, 1935, in Sabinas, Coahuila, Mexico to Rafaela (De Leon) and Leocadio Morales.

She is survived by three daughters, Gricelda Vara and husband, Miguel, Soledad Guerrero and husband, Raul Luna, and San Juana Medina all of Uvalde; two sons, Natividad Guerrero and Ruben Guerrero both of Uvalde; grandchildren, Karla Arroyo, Natividad Guerrero, Jr., Jose Medina, Larissa Alarcon, Teresa Crow, Miguel Vara IV, Marissa Vara, Virginia Guerrero, Melissa Vara, Amanda Gonzales, Robert Guerrero, and Francisco Morales; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francisco Guerrero; son, Francisco Guerrero, Jr. and daughter, Violanda Guerrero.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2206, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ruben Guerrero, Miguel Vara IV, Jose Medina, Robert Guerrero, Scott Rodriguez, Carter Crow, Roberto Morales III and Francisco Morales,

Honorary pallbearer will be Natividad Guerrero.
