Porfirio Arreola

Porfirio M. Pio Arreola of Uvalde passed away on August 15, 2009 in St. Lukes Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 72. He was born on September 15, 1936 in La Pryor, Texas to Ponciano and Lorenza Arreola. He married Raquel Capetillo on April 28, 1958 in Uvalde, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Raquel C. Arreola of Uvalde, Tx; one daughter; Gloria Guzman and husband Mario of Uvalde, Tx; two sons; Ponciano Arreola and special friend Berlinda of Uvalde, Tx; Benito Arreola and wife Kathy of Austin, Tx; one sister; Maria Granado of Uvalde, Tx; one brother; Juan Arreola of Uvalde, Tx; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons; Porfirio Arreola Jr. and Daniel Arreola; one brother; David Arreola; one grandson Benito Arreola Jr.. A rosary will be held on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 PM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Uvalde, Texas with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Arreola, Anthony Arreola, Chris Arreola, Bemjamin Arreola, Louie Aguilar, Mario Aguilar Jr., and Jennifer S. Arreola. Hnorary pallbearers were Michael Arreola, Mark Anthony Guzman, Matt Arreola, and Mark Arreola.
