Petra M. Garza

Petra M. Garza, 85, of Pasco, Washington, formerly of Uvalde, Texas passed away on Nov. 17, 2025, at her residence.

Visitation will be held on Dec. 11, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.

A Mass will be held celebrated on Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment of ashes will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.

She was born on December 4, 1939, in Sabinal, Texas to Celestina (Lopez) and Bernardo Martinez.

She is survived by her daughter, Celia Gonzales and husband, Rolando Reyes of Uvalde; son, Jorge Garza and wife, Mary of San Antonio; three sisters, Amelia Ybarra, Adelina Rangel both of Uvalde, and Epifania Garcia of Eagle River, Wisconsin; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maria Ortega, Manuela Borrego, Minerva Alvarez, Julia Aguilar, and Florentina Perez; brother, Severano Lopez; grandson, Frank L. Gonzales, III; and great grandson, Salvador Ramos
