alignjustifyPeggy Lou Williams of Uvalde passed away on February 11, 2007 at her residence at the age of 60. She was born in Mineral Wells, TX on August 25, 1946 to Barkley and Emily Rodgers. She married Tom Williams in Corpus Christi, TX on February 26, 1965. She is survived by her husband of 41 years; mother, Emily Jones of Jasper, TX; daughter, Kelly Thompson and husband, Troy of Lynchburg, VA; two sisters, Jean Perlman and husband, Dale Carrigan of Sacramento, CA; and Sherrie Menefee and husband, Keith of San Antonio; and three grandchildren, Harris Wayne, Cole Walker, and Claire Margaret Thompson all of Lynchburg, VA. She was preceded in death by her father. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, at 10:00 AM at the 1st United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Scott Bradford will officiate. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society; 1st United Methodist Church; or Uvalde Memorial Hospital Hospice.
