It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Lee Rodriguez, who passed away at his home in Uvalde on April 16, 2026.
Patrick was a loving father, devoted son, and cherished brother whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, his quiet resilience, and the deep love he had for his family, A faithful man, he trusted in the Lord, and his faith remained a steady foundation throughout his life.
He found peace in playing his guitar and in the company of loved ones. His children were a blessing he held close to his heart, bringing him great pride throughout his life. A true cowboy at heart, he carried himself with quiet strength and humility.
Patrick leaves behind a legacy carried in the lives he touched, and the memories held close by those who knew and loved him.
He was born on August 10, 1972, to Carmen (Diaz) and Gregorio Rodriguez, Jr.
He is survived by daughter, Leeanne Maxine Rodriguez and husband Manuel of Uvalde; two stepdaughters, Stephanie Polanco and husband Julio Cardenas, Brittany Polanco of Uvalde; three sons Patrick Gregory Rodriguez and wife Meranda of San Antonio; Patrick Lee Rodriguez, Jr., Lucas Lee Rodrguez of Uvalde; sister Gracie Luna and husband Manuel of San Antonio; four brothers, Gregorio D. Rodriguez III and wife Letty of Marion, Texas; Paul D. Rodriguez and wife Laura, Joe Louis Rodriguez and wife Carmen all of Uvalde; Johnny Ray Rodriguez of San Antonio; nine great grandchildren, Elllie Rose Rodriguez, Noel Rodriguez, Jaden Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Madison Cardenas, Avalynn Cardenas Isaiah Chaney-Nicholson, Zaedy Martinez, Benito Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his mother and brother George D. Rodrgiuez.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Gregory Rodriguez, Patrick Lee Rodriguez, Lucas Lee Rodriguez, Paul T. Rodriguez, Manny Luna, Armando Luna, James Rodriguez, Diego Rodriguez, Jason Garcia, and Jacob Mirelez.
