Orlen Scott

Orlen Melvin Scott of Brackettville passed away on March 30, 2009 at his residence at the age of 83. He was born on May 10, 1925 in Anderson Co, Texas to Olen and Mamie Scott. He married Dena Dickey in Midland, Texas on May 5, 1956. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Dena Scott of Brackettville, Texas; one daughter; Helen Hanson and husband, Doug of Katy, Texas; one son; Clyde Scott and wife, Lyn of Midland, Texas; two brothers; Gordon O. Scott of Hobbs, New Mexico; and Harold I. Scott of Corsicana, Texas; six grandchildren; Lynsie Scott Ray; Ryan Scott; Kelsie Scott, Cale Hanson, Clay Hanson; and Kara Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
