Natividad Martinez Gonzales, 88, of Uvalde passed away on August 29, 2026, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
She was born on December 25, 1937, in Sabinal to Anita (Ramirez) and Ponciano Martinez.
She married Ramon H. Gonzales, Jr., on May 16, 1955, in Uvalde. Texas.
Natividad was a faithful and devoted member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, where her faith was a cherished part of her life. She was involved in the Vela Perpetua, Guadalupanas, and Holy Name Society groups. Through her love and dedication to her church, she found great joy in serving others, sharing her faith, and being part of a community that was very dear to her heart.
She is survived by three daughters, Rosa Maria Olvera of San Antonio, Mary Esther Garcia and husband, Mike, and Nancy Gonzales all of Uvalde; four sons, Armando Gonzales and wife, Josephine of San Antonio, David M. Gonzales and wife, Patricia, Ramon Gonzales, III and wife, Yvette Silva, and Bobby Gonzales and wife, Mary Ann all of Uvalde; 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon H. Gonzales, Jr.; son, Jose “Jody” Enrique Gonzales; parents, Ponciano and Anita Martinez; two sisters, Lile Garza and Yolanda Ramirez; brother, Gilberto Martinez; grandson, Marcos Jaime Olvera; and brother-in-law, Jose H. Olvera.
Pallbearers will be Armando Gonzales, David Gonzales, Ramon Gonzales, III, Bobby Gonzales, Bobby Gonzales, Jr., Cassandra Villanueva, and Mike Garcia, Jr.,
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 401 W. Leona, Uvalde, TX 78801
