Melba Jane Willingham

Melba Jane Willingham, born September 6, 1930 in Del Rio, Texas passed into the loving arms of the Lord on February 10, 2026.

She is survived by her sister, Sylvia Daughtery, her son Chuck (Linda), granddaughters Meredith and Lindsay (Kevin and son Justin), and her son Kerry (Donna), grandson Karl (Allison, great-granddaughters Hailey and Harper), and granddaughter Liesl (Joe, great-granddaughters Adeline, Sadie, and great-grandson Charlie).

She loved her music, books, poetry, her family, Baylor Bears football - but most of all her beloved husband Charlie, who passed before her in 2001.

Jane was a champion turkey trotter, a Southwest Texas College English literature instructor for well over 20 years, and even took scuba diving lessons well into her eighties. She loved doing activities with her grandkids - art, music, playing the organ and piano at her churches in Sabinal and Annapolis, Maryland (Heritage Baptist). She taught her sons music, a love of the Lord, and invested in both of her sons life-long passions of tennis and music.
