Marylou Estrada

Marylou Estrada, 84, of Uvalde, Texas passed away on June 16, 2026, at 214 Martin. 

She was born on December 17, 1941, in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Paula (Alvarez) and Jose Francisco Estrada. 

She is survived by her son, Jose Contreras and wife, Mary of Troy, Illinois; daughter, Lisa Rafinski of Chicago, Illinois; sisters, Ynez Sanchez of Chicago, Illinois, Hilda Navarro of Uvalde, and Elisa Saenz of Oak Lawn, Illinois; two brothers, Antonio Estrada of Alsip, Illinois and Luis Estrada of Uvalde; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Roberto Alvarez and sister, Socorro Gutierrez. 

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 2 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
