Marina, a loving mother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, mentor and friend to many; known as the social butterfly. Escaped the bounds of earth early Friday morning April 3, 2026, winging her way to her heavenly home after a gradual decline in health. Marina was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last of her life. Marina was born in Syracuse, Kansas but lived in Uvalde since 1964; after raising her daughters and son.
Marina is survived by the three children (and spouse): Rudy Luna, Jennifer Luna, Kristina Luna, daughter-in-law Connie Silva out of Uvalde; eleven grandchildren Joseph Luna, Damian Flores, Esteban Flores, Kristian Silva, Jaden Luna, Ethan Moffett, Candy Tovar, Johnny Silva, Joslynn Luna, Destiny Luna, Kuatro Gutierrez and three great-grandchildren Eliana Silva, Cash Silva, and Martin Rios.
Marina is also survived by her brother Juan Antonio and sister Guadalupe Camacho out of Uvalde, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father Isidoro “Lolo” Camacho, mother Teresa G. Camacho, sister Diana, brothers Jose Luis, Rosalio and Isidoro Camacho.
Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we find peace in knowing that her love remains alive within us all. The wisdom she shared, the sacrifices she made, and the boundless love she gave will always be remembered. Her legacy is defined by unwavering love, gentle strength, and a life devoted so selflessly to others. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by everyone whose lives she has touched.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a rosary will be recited at 7p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rudy Luna, Juan Antonio Camacho, Damian Flores, Ethan Moffett, Javiel Camacho, Gilbert Garcia, Reymundo Camacho, and Ervey Perez.
Honorably pallbearers will Esteban Flores and Rosalio Camacho.
