aligncenterMaria G. Mata of Wisconsin, formerly of Uvalde, passed away on February 11, 2007 in Wisconsin at the age of 80. She was born on April 16, 1926 in Monroe, LA to Albert and Marcela Gutierrez. She is survived by a son, Juan Manuel Hernandez and wife, Lali of Uvalde; three sisters, Maria Esther Gomez and husband, Armando of Wisconsin; Susie Robles and husband, Pablo of Uvalde; and Aurora Carbajal of Dallas; brother, Vicente Uriegas of Midland; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Moises Mata; parents, Albert and Marcela Gutierrez; daughters, Rosalinda Bustamante and Marcela Espinoza; and brother, Alejandro Juarez, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with burial to follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday night at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel.
