Maria Delgado

Maria Ester Y. Delgado of Uvalde passed away October 4, 2007 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 85.

She was born on July 11, 1922 in Knippa, Tx. to Arturo Julia Ybarra.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Cantu husband, Gilbert of Grand Prairie, Tx.; Victoria Gonzalez of San Antonio, Tx.; son, Mario Delgado wife, Anselma of Houston, Tx.; sisters, Refugia Uriegas; Carmen Uriegas; Olga Sanchez; Anita Avalos; Rosa Ibarra, all of Uvalde, Tx.; brothers, Conrad Ybarra; Guadalupe Ybarra Arturo Ybarra, all of Uvalde, Tx.; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Enrique M. Delgado; sisters, Candelaria De La Paz Herminia Gonzales.

A rosary will be held on Saturday Sunday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Chapel.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gilbert Cantu, Jr.; Mario Enrique Delgado, Jr.; Herby Gonzalez; Armando Gomez, Jr.; Carlos Delgado Aaron Guidry.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
