Maria Elena Perez

Maria Elena Perez, 85, of Uvalde passed away on October 31, 2026, at her residence.

She was born on August 18, 1941, in Uvalde to Telesfora (Torres) and Daniel Perez.

She is survived by two sisters, Guadalupe Price and husband, Samuel of Uvalde, Martina Perez Pugh and husband, Bill of South Dakota; two sister in laws, Maria Belia Perez and Aida Sanchez-Perez both of Uvalde; four brothers, Ambrose Perez and wife, Isabel of Wyoming; Daniel Perez and wife, Aurora of Idaho, Santiago James Perez and wife, Sandra and Silverio Perez and wife, Trini all of Uvalde; four grandchildren, Troy Perez, Vidal Perez, Kanani Gutierrez, and April Perez Magallanez; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; three sons, Jose Luis Perez, Roman Perez, Miguel “Mikey” Perez; three sisters, Juanita Hernandez, Maria Perez Cantu, and Antonia Perez Hernandez; and two brothers, Inez Perez and Andrew Talltree Perez.

Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
