Maria De La Luz Guerrero

Maria De La Luz Guerrero of Knippa passed away on August 20, 2026, in San Antonio, Tx at the age of 72. She was born on September 27, 1953, in Ciudad Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico to Juan P Ortiz and Olga G Ortiz.

She married Juan B Guerrero on May 17, 1973, in Margaritas, Coahuila, Mexico. She is survived by two daughters, Veronica Gracia and husband, Jaime, and Ana Laura Nash and husband, Michael, all of Knippa; sister, Olga Gutierrez of Del Rio; three brothers Juan Ortiz Jr, Jose Ortiz Sr, and Fernando Ortiz all of Knippa; four grandchildren, Michael Nash Jr, Jordan Nash, Bailey Nash, and Malachi Gracia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Lupita, her brother Manuel, and her husband Juan.

Viewing will be held Monday, August 24, 2026, with a prayer service at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary with burial to follow in Knippa Catholic Cemetery.
