Maria Cruz

Ms. Maria I. Cruz of Uvalde, Tx. passed away June 12, 2007 at her residence in Uvalde at the age of 78.

She was born July 30, 1928 in Del Rio, Tx. to Seberino Maria Cruz.

She is survived by sisters, Diamantina Pena of Crystal City, Tx.; Irene Charles of Brownsville, Tx. Gloria Rodriguez husband, Lupe of Uvalde; brother, Jose Jesus Cruz wife, Esther of Spofford; numerous nieces and nephews including Manuel Pena wife, Antonia of Spofford, Tx.; Marina Jaso of Round Rock, Tx.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Manuel Cruz; Camilo Cruz Seberino Cruz, Jr.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Uvalde.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Blaise Catholic Church in Spofford, Tx. Interment will follow in Spofford Cemetery. Fr. Quang Van will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Zamora; Mark Zamora; Manuel Pena; Camilo Cruz, Jr.; Everardo Zamora Jerry Gonzales. Honorary pallbearers will be Efrain Pena; Seberino Pena; Lupe Rodriguez; David Cruz; Ruben Contreras Stevie Sandoval.

Arrangements are by Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
