Marcelino Arroyos, Sr,

Marcelino M. Arroyos, Sr. of Uvalde passed away on August 13, 2019 in Uvalde Memorial Hospital at the age of 83.  He was born on January 31, 1936 in Dilley, TX to Refugia (Mendoza) and Pedro Arroyos.  He married Rosa Ramos on June 7, 1969 in Uvalde.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosa Arroyos; six sons, Marcelino Arroyos, Jr. of Austin; Eduardo Arroyos and wife, Rachel of Uvalde; Juan Arroyos of Uvalde; Javier Gonzales of Uvalde; Pedro Gonzales and wife, Tiffany of San Antonio; and Justin Arroyos and wife, Candice of Uvalde; nine daughters, Rosie Cosme and husband, Ezekiel of Minnesota; Maria Melendez and husband, Isaac of Uvalde; Myra Monroe of San Antonio; Luisana Arroyos of Uvalde; Destiny Arroyos of Uvalde; Cruz Rebecca Rodriguez of Austin; Leticia Rodriguez of Florida; Mary Esther Kirk of Austin; Dora Salazar of Austin; two sisters, Amada Quijano of California and Annie Hernandez and husband, Ismael of Odessa; two brothers, Paul Arroyos and wife, Maggie of Odessa and Pedro Arroyos and wife, Gloria of California; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Herlinda Gomez; and three brothers, Simon Arroyos, Francisco Arroyos, and Luis Manuel Arroyos.  Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
