Mack R. West of Utopia passed away on August 1, 2011 in Amistad Nursing Home at the age of 100. He was born on October 12, 1910 in Tennessee to John Dillard and Linche Northcutt West. He married Norma Roberts in Utopia in 1996. He was a maintenance superintendent for 28 years for public schools in McAllen and the surrounding areas. He is survived by his wife, Norma West of Utopia and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Utopia. Burial will be in the Sunset Cemetery in Mountain Home, TX on Thursday at 2:00 PM.
